Hi all,

Brian's first chemo went VERY well!!! He has not suffered any of the affects and by now he should have if he was going to. We were there for about 5 1/2 hours and that will decrease as we continue to go to Chemo. He feels well today and can already feel a difference in his chest (amazing) He did however, have to have a bone marrow biopsy as they saw "activity" on the PET scan. he said that hurt!! If there is any cancer in his bone marrow, it would be considered stage 4 but STILL VERY treatable!

Brian will lose his hair in about 17 days from his first treatment so I think we are going to cut it off this weekend. He has been wanting to do this for a long time now but I have been holding stead fast to not letting him... Guess he wins out this time ;)

We went in today for hydration (very important for him to keep hydrated) and a shot to help his white blood cell count stay up. We also go Monday for hydration and a check up to see how he is doing.

We also go in on Thursday to see the Doctor again to make sure all is well. Dr. Swartz was so happy to see Brian today and was even more pleased that he was doing so well!

This new office is AMAZING and we feel so comfortable there! I hope that none of you ever have to go through this but if you do, Dr. Jonathon Swartz is the man to see!!!

If Brian's white blood cell count stays up, he is cleared to get back to the gym!!! His face was so bright when the doctor told him that!!

I am so very thankful that he is doing as well as he is! He has a purpose in life and that is to get back to the gym and his peeps there! I love this man with everything that I am and he has been on a roller coaster the past month. The treatment yesterday could not have gone better and that really relaxed him a bit! Thank you too everyone for being there for us!

I'd like to say thanks you to a few that have sent us food, Linda and Jason, Ann, Greg and Eva, Don and Kay, Wendy and Lance & Courtney! you guys are amazing. Also a great BIG thank you to our neighbors that took care of our weeds both in the front yard and back yard. Mike and Kammi and Greg and Eva.
Courtney thank you for the baskets and Kristin thanks for the books and pin Brian wears it for ALL treatments!

Also the biggest thanks to Dan and Kay for taking care of the boys for us! that means the world to us!

Last but not least, Tina thank you for taking the classes at the gym! without you we would have been sunk a long time ago.

Brian's Dad told us on Wednesday night as we had our neighbors over for a surprise 73nd birthday party, you have an amazing support group here! Brian and I teared up and said, Yes, yes we do!!

Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers they have been felt and we love you!

Brian and Taralu
